Cicinho's 90th-minute own goal denied a much-needed victory for AS Roma as they were held to a 1-1 draw at fellow strugglers Bologna.

The match marked the debut for new Bologna coach Siniša Mihajlović,who was hired on Monday to replace Daniele Arrigoni.

After losing four straight Serie A matches, Luciano Spalletti's side had been hoping to build on the momentum from their Champions League win over Chelsea.

Roma captain Francesco Totti put the visitors ahead on 68 minutes, firing an accurate shot from a difficult angle that deflected in off the knee of Bologna goalkeeper Francesco Antonioli.

The Giallorossi looked set to take all three points until full-back Cicinho headed the ball into his own net two minutes into injury-time.

Roma remained just above the relegation zone with eight points, while Bologna is right behind with seven.

Also Saturday, substitute Jürgen Samuel’s 88th-minute goal gave struggling Torino a 1-0 win against 10-man Palermo.
