Milan opens door to Andrea Pirlo sale

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has not ruled out selling Andrea Pirlo to Chelsea.

The Italy international is being strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, where former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti now manages.

Milan had previously stated Pirlo would not be allowed to leave the San Siro.

But the seven-time European champions now appear keen to listen to offers for the 30-year-old playmaker.

"We are going to see what we do with Pirlo," Berlusconi said on Milan Channel.

"I hope that he is going to stay and I was the first to say so, but then they made me look at the accounts..."
