Gaël Clichy rules out Real Madrid move

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Gaël Clichy has pledged his future to Arsenal and rejected the speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a switch to the Bernabéu as part of president Florentino Pérez’s restructuring plans.

But Clichy insists he will honour his contract at the Emirates which he only signed last year.

He told skysports.com: "I heard there is interest from Real Madrid. But I have a contract with Arsenal, which I intend to respect unless the club say otherwise.

"It is great to be linked with Real, but I want to win things with Arsenal."
