Piqué: Cesc will end up wearing Barcelona shirt

Gerard Piqué is convinced that Cesc Fàbregas will return to Barcelona at some stage in his career.

Fàbregas has long been linked with a return to Spain and Barcelona, while recent reports suggested the Arsenal captain could be in line for a shock move to Real Madrid.

But Piqué, who spent several years with Fàbregas in Barça's youth team, believes his Spain team-mate will not move to their bitter rivals.

"I do not think that Cesc will join Madrid," Piqué told Sport.

"In football, you can never say that something is impossible, but I can’t see him signing for Madrid.

"I believe that one day, we will be playing together. I’ve always said that Cesc will end up wearing the Barça shirt. Even if he doesn't want to admit it, I've always told him the same thing."
