Ade urges Kolo to join him at Eastlands

Saturday, July 25, 2009

Emmanuel Adebayor reckons Manchester City should go for his former Arsenal teammate Kolo Touré if they cannot sign John Terry.

The Eastlands club have not given up hope of luring Chelsea captain Terry away from Stamford Bridge, despite noises coming from the Blues camp suggesting he will stay.

Adebayor will be delighted if City pull off their sensational long-running bid for the England defender, but feels Touré is also top quality.

He said in The Mirror: "Kolo is a great friend of mine. He is a top defender and a very big player for Arsenal.

"He's been playing in the Premier League for seven or eight years now so he knows this league really well.

"If the manager could get him, he can get exactly what this club wants and needs from him.

"Kolo could join me in helping Manchester City achieve their dream of becoming one of the best teams in the world."
