Ten-man Inter Milan picked up a precious point in Russia following a 1-1 draw against Rubin Kazan in the day's early kick-off.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 11 minutes when Alejandro DomÃnguez fired high into the net after beating Inter defenders Lúcio and Walter Samuel.
Inter equalised through Dejan Stanković's header in the 27th minute and they held on after Mario Balotelli had been sent off for a second bookable offense early in the second half.
