Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he turned down numerous offers to manage foreign clubs during his Manchester United career.
The Scot arrived at Old Trafford in 1986 and has brought vast success to the club, guiding the Red Devils to 11 Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies.
Unsurprisingly, some of the biggest clubs in Europe have attempted to prise him away from Manchester, but he had never been seduced by any of the offers.
Ferguson, 67, told the News of the World: "I've had offers from clubs to go abroad, but I've never been tempted by them.
"I am not going on record to say who they are, but you'd be surprised by the names.
"It flies over your head and you get on with life. You don't leave Manchester United."
