Brazilian heroes of the 1994 World Cup, Romário and Bebeto, are set to work together again, this time off the field.
Bebeto, whose real name is José Roberto Gama de Oliveira, was hired on Wednesday as the new coach of América Football Club, whose director is his former strike partner Romário.
"It's true. If you guys know, I can only confirm this. The presentation will be on Saturday or Sunday," Bebeto told Globoesporte.
"We will revive this wonderful couple, unfortunately off the field, as coach. I am a winner, Romário too, and together we will help raise América."
Romário also confirmed the news throught his Twitter: "We are back after 15 years. He will be presented as early as this weekend. Hopefully we have the same success as before."
Despite their famous partnership, the duo played together only a few games in Flamengo in 1996 and Vasco da Gama in 2001.
