Chelsea moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League standings after coming from behind to draw 1-1 at West Ham.
The home side took a deserved lead into the half-time interval when Ashley Cole brought down Jack Collison and Alessandro Diamanti despatched his spot-kick.
However, the Blues improved after the break and drew level on 61 minutes after Matthew Upson was controversially judged to have fouled Daniel Sturridge in the area.
Frank Lampard twice fired home the spot kick but each time had to take it again because players from both teams had run into the penalty area. He had to beat Hammers keeper Robert Green for a third time.
