Chelsea cruised into the FA Cup fourth round with a comfortable 5-0 victory over Watford at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues led as early as the fifth minute with Daniel Sturridge converting from six yards out after the visitors had failed to clear a Frank Lampard corner.

The home side then made it 2-0 ten minutes later as John Eustace put through his own net after Joe Cole's volley hit the bar and then cannoned off the midfielder.

Chelsea were home and dry just seven minutes later when a 20-yard shot from Yuri Zhirkov deflected off Florent Malouda and sent Watford keeper Scott Loach the wrong way.

And the fourth goal came after 64 minutes when Lampard was given time and space some 25 yards out and sent a thunderous rising drive into the roof of the net.

Sturridge bagged his second of the afternoon with 68 minutes on the clock after Ashley Cole's delivery found him in the six-yard box.
