Defending champions Barcelona beat battling Málaga 2-1 to make it 11 wins from 12 league games at the Camp Nou this season.
Barcelona dominated possession and went ahead in the 69th minute when Pedro scored with a strike from outside the area.
Málaga drew level on 81 minutes as substitute Valdo played a one-two with Victor Obinna before running through on goal and slotting past Víctor Valdés.
But parity only lasted three minutes as Lionel Messi finished off a fine passing move by the home side.
