Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamšík intends to put an end to rumours linking him with a move to either Chelsea or Inter Milan by signing a new deal with Napoli.
The 22-year-old has earned rave reviews for his performances in Serie A this season and a number of top clubs across Europe are thought be tracking his progress.
Inter and Chelsea were believed as the front runners for the player’s signature, but it now looks as though Hamšík will snub both clubs to continue his development with Napoli.
"I watched Inter play Chelsea the other evening and I liked it a lot. They are two great teams," he told Radio Marte.
"Expressions of interest from these clubs are pleasing, but I'm very calm.
"I have a meeting next week with the club to renew my contract with Napoli. I cannot wait to sign."
