Monday, April 19, 2010

Sampdoria put a serious dent in AC Milan's slim title hopes with a 2-1 win which puts them on course for Champions League football next season.

Marco Borriello gave Milan the lead after 20 minutes, but Antonio Cassano equalized with a penalty in the 54th after Milan defender Daniele Bonera was sent off for fouling the Sampdoria forward.

Sampdoria then grabbed the winner in the second minute of stoppage time when Giampaolo Pazzini headed home Daniele Mannini's cross from close range.
