La Liga: Hércules 0-1 Athletic Bilbao

Newly-promoted Hércules slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Athletic Bilbao in their first fixture back in the top flight.

Fernando Llorente bagged the only goal of the game after 47 minutes as he rose to guide a trademark header past Juan Calatayud.

A disappointing night for Hércules was compounded in stoppage-time when Matías Fritzler was sent off for a second bookable offence.
