Atlético Madrid made it two wins out of two as they survived a nervy finish to claim a deserved 2-1 success at Athletic Bilbao.
Diego Forlán set Atlético on their way with with his league-leading third goal in the 11th minute before Tiago headed home with 10 minutes remaining to make it 2-0.
Fernando Llorente set up a grandstand finish by pulling a goal back late on, but it proved nothing more than a consolation.
