Juventus winger Miloš Krasić has been handed a two-match ban following his simulation to win a penalty against Bologna.
The Serbia international was found guilty of going over too easily to earn a penalty for the Bianconeri, which striker Vincenzo Iaquinta failed to convert.
The suspension means Krasić will now miss Saturday's game at AC Milan and the encounter against Cesena.
Juventus, though, have announced they would appeal the decision, hoping he can at least be back for the big game against Milan.
Sporting director Giuseppe Marotta said: "We take heed of the ban, but undoubtedly we are faced with a strongly unfair decision."
However, the man who made the decision – sporting judge Gianpaolo Tosel – gave Juve little hope of achieving anything.
He said: "All the bans are open to an appeal, but I do not recall similar incidents that earned a 'discount.'
"Either they were cleared completely of wrongdoing or the original ban was confirmed."
