Soccer superstar David Beckham announced on Sunday that he and wife Victoria are expecting their fourth child this summer.
Becks posted on his Facebook page: "I've got some great news to tell you all. Victoria and I are expecting our fourth child this summer. The boys are very excited about the arrival of a new brother or sister."
The spokesperson of the couple also confirmed that the pair, who already have three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5, are all set to welcome a new addition to their family.
The news has brought new year delight to the former Spice Girl, who is desperate to finally get the daughter she craves to add to her brood of three boys.
She said in 2009: "I think one day, if we're blessed to have more children, it would be amazing. But at this stage I think the chances of a girl are quite slim."
Celebrity pals have also been quick to offer their congratulations, with Kylie Minogue tweeting: "WOW ... congratulations to Victoria Beckham and David... fourth child on the way."
