Liverpool's four-game winning streak came to an end as Wigan Athletic left Anfield with a 1-1 draw.
The hosts went ahead after 24 minutes when Raul Meireles smashed home a right-foot volley after Fábio Aurélio's cross was partially deflected by the head of Steve Gohouri.
But the Latics drew level midway through the second period as Charles N'Zogbia curled an inswinging left-footed cross from the right which found its way to Gohouri who stabbed home from two yards out at the far post.
