Serie A: Fiorentina 1-2 AC Milan

Monday, April 11, 2011

AC Milan re-established a three-point lead at the top of Serie A standings thanks to a 2-1 success at Fiorentina.

Clarence Seedorf put Milan ahead with an exquisite finish after just eight minutes before Alexandre Pato finished off a counterattack to double the lead in the 41st minute.

Juan Vargas gave the Viola hope 11 minutes from the end when Riccardo Montolivo's shot came out to him on the edge of the area and his shot deflected past Christian Abbiati off Gennaro Gattuso.

Milan finished the match with 10 men after Zlatan Ibrahimović, making his return after a two-game suspension, was shown a straight red card for something he said to the linesman.
