Juventus took the provisional lead in Serie A with an impressive 2-1 win over rivals Fiorentina on home soil.
Defender Leonardo Bonucci gave Juventus the lead by slotting home a rebound following a corner in the 13th minute, but the visitors were back on terms shortly before the hour mark when Juan Vargas set up Stevan Jovetić to rifle home from long range.
Alessandro Matri scored the winner for Juve on 65 minutes, slamming home from eight yards after Simone Pepe had shown tremendous vision to prod the ball into his path through a gap in the Fiorentina defense.
