Serie A: Cagliari 0-2 AC Milan

Wednesday, December 21, 2011

AC Milan returned provisionally to the top of Serie A after a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Cagliari at the Stadio Sant'Elia.

The Rossoneri opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Robinho rounded both goalkeeper Michael Agazzi and defender Michele Canini to flash a low ball across the face of goal, where Francesco Pisano could only turn into his own net under pressure of Antonio Nocerino.

Zlatan Ibrahimović wrapped up the win on the hour mark, lifting the ball over the advancing Agazzi after playing a neat one-two with Robinho.
