Premier League: Norwich 1-6 Man City

Sunday, April 15, 2012

Carlos Tévez scored a hat-trick in a 6-1 drubbing of Norwich City at Carrow Road that helped Manchester City cut the gap to Manchester United at the top of the table.

Tévez set City on their way with a swerving shot which bamboozled John Ruddy before he backheeled to Sergio Agüero, who made it 2-0 with a venomous volley.

Andrew Surman pulled one back just after the break to give the Canaries hope, but Tévez eased any nerves among the visiting fans as he nodded home a third on 73 minutes before Agüero struck again two minutes later.

Tévez then completed his treble with 10 minutes to go and substitute Adam Johnson rounded off the scoring in stoppage time.
