La Liga: Real Betis 2-2 Barcelona

Sunday, May 13, 2012

Barcelona completed their disappointing La Liga campaign with a 2-2 draw against Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin.

In Pep Guardiola's last league game in charge, Barcelona went ahead when Sergio Busquets headed in a curling Xavi corner in the ninth minute.

Betis were handed a way back into the contest early in the second half when Daniel Alves was given his marching orders for a wild lunge on Jefferson Montero.

The home side made the most of their numerical advantage and they scored twice within four minutes through Rubén Castro to go 2-1 ahead in the last 15 minutes.

But there was to be late drama as Seydou Keita managed to get on the end of Martín Montoya's cross in the 92nd minute to ensure Guardiola would not lose his final league game at the helm of Barca.
