Milovan Mirošević gave the Crew an early lead, but Henry canceled it out shortly after before Dax McCarty came through with the deciding goal in the 79th minute.

Henry then capped the scoring with a fabulous golazo in stoppage time.

Columbus needed to bring on backup keeper Matt Lampson in the 85th minute and his inexperience was on display for all to see.

Henry duped him into thinking he was going to take a short corner before launched the ball off the back post and in for an Olimpico goal.

"I saw the goalkeeper was off his line and was out of the goal too much, so I decided to give it a try," Henry said.

Red Bulls coach Hans Backe: "Yeah, what can you say, you don't see too many goals on corners like that."

"New York has a special player in Thierry Henry," said Crew boss Robert Warzycha. "Obviously that third goal was something that he saw and tried to do."
