Adrián came off the bench to hit a brilliant winner as Atlético Madrid beat Celta Vigo 1-0 on Friday to keep the pressure on Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
Diego Simeone's side have been in terrific form so far this season and even though they were not at their best on this occasion, they did just enough to collect another three points.
However, a strong Celta performance after the interval meant the match was looking increasingly like a draw until Adrián came on for Diego Costa on 72 minutes.
And five minutes later, the striker let rip a left-footed shot from outside the area that flew past Javi Varas into the top corner.
"It's always tough to pull out a game like this one," Adrián said after the game.
"This goal gives me a boost of confidence."
