Ayaz Guliev's amazing volley from outside the area had brought Russia U-17 level against England U-17 before eventually won 2-1 in their European Championship qualifier on Monday.

Playing at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium, the hosts started brightly and found themselves in front after just six minutes thanks to Bradley Fewster's deflected effort.

Both teams went close to adding to the score before a fantastic individual effort from Guliev levelled the score just after the half-hour mark.

The England defense attempted to head a corner clear, but it only went as far as Guliev, who twisted his body and sent a sensational volley into the roof of the net, leaving the stunned Angus Gunn helpless in goal.

And Ramil Sheidaev's long-range lob in the 51st minute gave the Russians the victory.
