Real Madrid sign deal with Fly Emirates, launch 2013/14 kit

Real Madrid have not just confirmed a record sponsorship deal with Fly Emirates, but they have also presented their new kit for the 2013/2014 season.

The officials have revealed that the deal will run for five years and is an improvement on the €24 million per year deal with bwin – making it the biggest sponsorship deal in the club's history.

Madrid president Florentino Pérez said: "We want a strong Real Madrid and part of that comes through alliances with large companies.

"Today we are making this alliance with the world's most important airline and it is an alliance for the present and for the future.

"Emirates become Real Madrid's new main sponsor. Two global brands and two leading organizations. This is one of the club's most important decisions.

"It is an honor to link the Emirates name to Real Madrid's because they are a perfect partner and ally and we are both in the permanent search of victory."

Thursday's event at the Bernabéu also unveiled the official adidas jersey for the 2013/14 season.
