Valencia got off to a superb start and Banega broke the deadlock after 12 minutes with a spectacular solo goal

The Argentina midfielder showed extraordinary close control outside the box, then unleashed a screamer past Ándres Palop into the top left corner.

The game was then turned on its head moments before half-time as Álvaro Negredo netted with an overhead kick and scored a second from the penalty spot soon after.

Roberto Soldado volleyed an equalizer off the bar in the 55th minute, only to see his Spanish international team mate Negredo complete his hat-trick with a tap in just a minute later.

Negredo then remarkably grabbed a fourth for himself and Sevilla on 61 minutes before Soldado added a late consolation for Valencia.
