After nine days in Austria, Laurent Blanc's side were looking to finish their camp on a high note with Friday's encounter with Rapid.

The Ligue 1 champions lost the first game of their pre-season tour 3-1 to Sturm Graz on Tuesday, but looked much sharper in the encounter at the Gerhard Hanappi Stadium.

After a bright start, PSG were caught out when Trimmel gave Rapid the lead in the 16th minute with an insane back-heeled volley that Zlatan Ibrahimović himself would have been proud of.

The 26-year-old attacked a corner delivery and finished impudently from six yards, leaving Nicolas Douchez in the PSG goal with no chance.

Les Rouge et Bleu were level 12 minutes later when Javier Pastore volleyed home after a flick from Kévin Gameiro, who stole the win for PSG with a brilliant individual effort nine minutes from time.
