PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Przemysław Tytoń was rushed to hospital after getting knocked unconscious while saving a free-kick at the end of their 2-1 loss to Roda JC Kerkrade on Sunday.
In the second minute of stoppage time, Tytoń brilliantly pushed away a free-kick but lost consciousness for some time after having his head slap against the pitch.
His teammates rushed over to find him unresponsive and the medical staff then moved him to stabilise his neck and transported him to a nearby hospital.
As PSV had already made three changes, midfielder Ola Toivonen put on the gloves and filled in as goalkeeper for the remaining minutes.
Latest news from the hospital is that the Polish goalkeeper is doing fairly well under the unfortunate circumstances.
