Cristiano Ronaldo creates his own social network for fans

The Real Madrid star is the most popular athlete on both Facebook and Twitter with more than 90 million combined fans/followers.
This week though, Ronaldo has taken things a step further by launching his very own social networking site which will allow his millions of fans from around the world to communicate with each other and keep up with the latest news about their idol.
Fans will also have the chance to win signed Ronaldo memorabilia and match tickets in regular competitions which will be run on the site.
Ronaldo wrote in his Facebook page: "Viva Ronaldo is where my true fans belong. My community - where I can be closer to all of you. It's been great to feel your outstanding support; you're the best fans in the world."
The site, which is only available in English, is also available as an app for mobile devices, which can be downloaded either directly from the website.
