Real Sociedad came back from a goal down to win 2-1 at Espanyol on Saturday night thanks to a late horrible own goal by Christian Stuani.
Colombian striker Jhon Córdoba gave Espanyol the lead just after the half-hour mark with a neat finish, but Antoine Griezmann headed in the equaliser in the 68th minute.
The game looked to be heading for a draw until Stuani's howler three minutes from time.
From a short corner, Rubén Pardo sent in a cross which was horribly miscued by Stuani and the ball ended up in the top corner of his own net.
"The players are gutted, but we have to pick ourselves up," Espanyol coach Javier Aguirre said afterwards.
"We thought we had weathered the storm but an unfortunate play at the end punished us.
