Lucky Lob? Giacomo Bonaventura (AC Milan) vs Cagliari | inside World Soccer

AC Milan were grateful to Giacomo Bonaventura's sublime 30-yard lob for rescuing a 1-1 draw at Cagliari on Wednesday.

The Rossoneri were second best for much of the match at the Stadio Sant'Elia and fell behind to Víctor Ibarbo's 24th-minute header.

However, Milan drew level out of nothing less than 10 minutes later.

Bonaventura received a throw-in 30 yards from goal under no pressure at all and had time to spot Alessio Cragno off his line before curling a fantastic effort into the far top corner.

"I was lucky, but they are things that happen over the course of a career," Bonaventura told Milan's official website.

"I'm happy. I went for it, it paid off. I tried to play the ball in the area and I found the back of the net."
