Lionel Messi has claimed former Barcelona team-mate Ronaldinho is the best player in the world.
The Argentina star is believed to be competing with Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo for the Ballon d'Or.
However, he believes that Ronaldinho is still the best player on the planet.
The Brazilian superstar has been outstanding for his new club AC Milan and he is quickly getting back to the levels which made him such a great player.
"Ronaldinho is the best player in the world, and when you play alongside him, everything is easier," Messi told L’Equipe.
"Once he is not with you anymore, you have to make sure people don’t notice it too much."
