Spain remain clear in first spot in the latest FIFA world rankings – a position they have now held for a year.

Meanwhile the Netherlands moved up one place to second – the highest they have been for almost four years – after they overtook fierce rivals Germany.

World champions Italy is fourth having swapped places with Brazil and England moved up one place to sixth, leapfrogging rivals Argentina who have been unimpressive in their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Elsewhere, Croatia, Russia and France remain in the same position completing the top 10 respectively.
