Bordeaux winger Gabriel Obertan is on his way to Manchester United, according to Les Girondins supremo Jean-Louis Triaud.
The highly rated 20-year-old broke through into the Bordeaux side in 2006/2007 and spent half of last season on loan at Lorient.
Obertan, who is regarded as one of France's brightest prospects, was also wanted by Arsenal, AC Milan and Inter Milan, but Triaud believes United will win the race for the youngster's signature.
"There is a great possibility the deal will go ahead," confirmed Triaud to L'Équipe.
"Manchester United want to sign him and, for our part, we would be delighted to see Gabriel playing for such a prestigious club.
"We will make the official announcement when the time is right."
