Serie A outfit AS Roma has joined the extensive list of clubs who want to sign Real Madrid striker Álvaro Negredo.

Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Giallorossi have offered Real €1.5 million to loan The Beast of Vallecas for the season with an option to make the move permanent for around €13 million next summer.

Los Merengues took up the buy-back option of €5 million they had on Negredo, after the striker had enjoyed two successful seasons at Almería.

However, his chances of a place in the first team are slim following the summer captures of Kaká, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
