Serie A: Napoli 2-2 AC Milan

Friday, October 30, 2009

AC Milan threw away a two-goal lead in the dying moments at the Stadio San Paolo as battling Napoli earned a 2-2 draw.

The Rossoneri appeared to be cruising towards the points after Filippo Inzaghi and Alexandre Pato scored inside the opening six minutes.

But the 86th minute dismissal of Ignazio Abate for a second yellow card gave Napoli hope and it was a lifeline the hosts grasped with both hands.

Luca Cigarini pulled a goal back in the first minute of stoppage-time before fellow substitute Germán Denis headed his side level three minutes into stoppage time.
