The agent of Giorgio Chiellini has dismissed reports that his client could move to the Premier League in the January transfer window.

Reports have claimed that local rivals Manchester City and Manchester United are battling it out to sign the Italy international in the New Year.

Chiellini's agent, Davide Lippi, is not surprised to see his client linked with a possible big-money move, but insists he will remain with Juventus.

He told calciomercato.it: "The interest of Manchester United and Manchester City flatters us and makes us very happy, and there are also other clubs in Europe.

"Chiellini has grown in the last two years and still has much room for improvement. It is normal that important teams give special attention to him.

"But Giorgio is a very important player for Juventus and has a long contract with the club. And, as (sporting director) Alessio Secco said, Juventus doesn't sell their champions.

"I think that Chiellini will stay for a long time with Juventus. In the market there are many surprises, but I think it's very difficult to envisage a move for Chiellini."
