Wayne Bridge snubs John Terry handshake

Sunday, February 28, 2010

The 'will they, won't they' debate is over after Wayne Bridge refused to shake the hand of John Terry prior to Chelsea's game with Manchester City.

The love rivals met for the first time since allegations surfaced about an affair between Terry and Vanessa Perroncel, the mother of Bridge's young son.

Terry extended his hand to his former team-mate during the pre-match formalities, but a stern-faced Bridge ducked his hand underneath Terry's and immediately shook the hand of keeper Hilario before doing the same with the rest of the Chelsea team.

In the end, the pair were the only two not to greet each other during the traditional handshake on the field before the match.

And the Chelsea fans let rip at their old left-back, booing Bridge from his very first touch, while there were cheers for their captain JT, with 'Team Terry' scarves, T-shirts and flags were available outside Stamford Bridge.
