Premier League: Portsmouth 0-5 Chelsea

Chelsea made sure their title challenge is alive and kicking again thanks to a 5-0 victory over bottom-place Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

The visitors were gifted the lead in the 32nd minute when David James mis-kicked a bouncing ball to allow Didier Drogba the simplest of tasks of tapping into an empty net.

Florent Malouda put the outcome beyond doubt after the interval, latching onto an excellent pass and beating a bemused James at his near post and then snapping up the rebound when the unfortunate keeper could only parry Frank Lampard's low strike.

Drogba was then played in by John Obi Mikel to make it 4-0 before Lampard completed Pompey's misery with a fifth in the dying minutes.
