Lazio defeated 10-man Udinese 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico to leapfrog their opponents into 12th place in Serie A.
Thomas Hitzlsperger put Lazio ahead with a deflected shot in the 15th minute before Antonio Di Natale leveled on the half-hour mark
But things turned against Udinese seven minutes later when Mauricio Isla picked up two bookings in the space of a minute - first for fouling Tommaso Rocchi, then for abusive language - to earn a red card.
And Lazio made use of their man advantage as Sergio Floccari restored the lead on the stroke of half-time and Cristian Brocchi completed the scoring early in the second half.
