Champions League hopefuls Sevilla climbed back into fourth spot in the table after destroying Racing Santander 5-1 at El Sardinero.

The visitors got off to a flying start when Álvaro Negredo fired Sevilla in front after just two minutes and Frédéric Kanouté made it 2-0 in the 21st minute from the penalty spot.

Two goals in two minutes at the start of the second half from Jesús Navas and Diego Capel put the game beyond Racing.
