Steve McClaren wanted by several clubs - Agent

Colin Gordon, the agent of Steve McClaren, has confirmed that a host of clubs are tracking the former England manager, who has just led FC Twente to the Eredivisie title.

McClaren was ridiculed as the "Wally with the Brolly" as he failed to guide England to the finals of Euro 2008.

The former Middlesbrough boss, though, has enjoyed a renaissance in the Netherlands as he guided the unfashionable Twente to a first Dutch title in their 45-year history.

The achievement has made clubs sit up and take notice and McClaren is now wanted by two Bundesliga sides – VfL Wolfsburg and Hamburg – whilst it is believed the likes of West Ham and Glasgow Celtic are keeping abreast of the situation.

"There are many interested clubs," Gordon told De Telegraaf.

"He will use this weekend to think about his future.

"He is home in England with his wife and sons, and they will be involved in any situations he makes."
