The loan will cost Roma €2 million and the Giallorossi can pay a remaining €13 million next year to sign him permanently.

Borriello scored 14 goals for Milan last season but had his chances of playing time at the San Siro drastically reduced over the last couple of days with the arrival of both Zlatan Ibrahimović and Robinho.

"Roma spoke to me about their plans, their strategies. (Roma president) Rosella Sensi spoke to me with heart, Roma didn't make me feel just like a number." Borriello told reporters.

"I have Roma in my blood. I want to make the fans happy. I have realised my life's dream.

"I am happy. I chose Roma because I know that it's a permanent transfer.

"Roma believed in me and I count on repaying them."
