Hugo Almeida joins Beşİktaş from Bremen

Ambitious Turkish club Beşİktaş have re-inforced their ranks by signing Portugual striker Hugo Almeida from Werder Bremen on a three-and-a-half year contract.
Bremen were unable to meet the striker's wage demands and Beşİktaş stepped in to sign the 26-year-old for a fee of €2 million.
Almeida, who scored 11 goal in 20 games for Bremen this season, will earn €1.65 million for this season and €2.5 million for each of the following three seasons.
The ex-FC Porto hitman joins Portuguese compatriot Simão at the Turkish club after the winger signed from Atlético Madrid earlier on Friday.
The pair will join a team which has slipped to fifth in the Turkish standings, 14 points behind leaders Bursaspor.
