A Robin van Persie double and a goal from Theo Walcott saw Arsenal comfortably win 3-0 at West Ham.
Van Persie broke the deadlock with a fine finish after 13 minutes before Walcott got to the Dutchman's cross ahead of new signing Wayne Bridge to add a second four minutes before the interval.
Bridge then capped a miserable Hammers debut by bringing down Walcott to concede a penalty in the 77th minute, with van Persie dispatching the spot-kick into the bottom left corner.
