La Liga leaders Barcelona survived a scare to come from behind and beat basement side Almería 3-1 at home and preserve their eight-point advantage over second-place Real Madrid.
Miguel Corona gave the visitors a shock lead with a breakaway goal early in the second half, but Lionel Messi equalized from the penalty spot virtually straight away.
Thiago Alcântara then headed Barça in front in the 64th minute before Messi added a late third to secure a vital win ahead of next weekend's important trip to the Bernabéu.
