Champions League: Man United 2-1 (agg 3-1) Chelsea
Table of Contents
Manchester United advanced to their fourth Champions League semi-final in five seasons after sealing a 3-1 aggregate victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford.
After Wayne Rooney's goal secured at 1-0 win last week, Javier Hernández put United further ahead with his 17th goal for the club on the stroke of half-time.
Ramires was then dismissed for Chelsea in the 70th minute before substitute Didier Drogba gave Chelsea a glimmer of hope seven minutes later.
Their resurgence was short-lived, though, as Ryan Giggs found Park Ji-Sung straight from the restart and the South Korean international drove the ball past Petr Čech to restore the home side's two-goal advantage.
