AC Milan defender Thiago Silva claims that Brazilian team-mate Ganso would be keen on a move to the San Siro this summer.
The 22-year-old is believed to be keen on leaving Santos and moving to Europe this summer, with contract talks with the Brazilian club having broken down recently.
Ganso was heavily linked with a move to the Rossoneri in recent months, but the Italian club has not made any official bids for the highly praised Brazilian midfielder.
"I have talked to Ganso and he is recovering in record time from his muscle strain," Silva told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "He wants to play in the Copa America and he wants Milan.
"I have read that the deal has come to a stop. I have read that he may arrive in December, but that's no good, Ganso must be taken now. This is the right time.
"To me, it seems like Milan have very clear ideas on how to strengthen the squad. Next year we will try to win everything.
"With the right purchases, we won't feel envious of Barcelona. That's why I said that we must not lose any time with Ganso."
